Le 15 mia 2009, le Mein Schiff a été baptisé à Hambourg. Le Mein Schiff est le premier navire de la compagnie TUI Cruises.
Le Mein Schiff est l'ancien Galazy (Century Cruises), il a été transformé en 38 jours par le chantier Lloyd Werft pour s'adapter à la clientèle allemande.
